A Class A motorhome is a big investment. It’s our goal to make sure your coach ownership runs smoothly. To that end, we’ve developed The Spartan RV Chassis Academy, a comprehensive training program that gives you the ins and outs of coach driving, maintenance, and service needs. This curriculum stands apart from all other RV training programs, as it includes instruction from award-winning certified technicians/trainers, extensive maintenance instruction, driver training, and review of the chassis sub-systems such as electrical and air suspension. It’s also a chance to connect with a community of RV owners that are out adventuring, just like you.

Spartan RV Chassis owners training academy

The Spartan RV Chassis RV Owners Training Academy is located on The Shyft Group campus in historic Charlotte, MI. Parking is adjacent to the Training and Factory Service Center and includes 30 and 50 amp shore power provided free of charge.

Spartan RV Chassis RV Owners Training Academy is a five-day program that includes meals and social activities.

2023 Pricing for RV Owner Training

4.5-day session on Charlotte campus $1,850 per coach (up to 2 people) (includes driving instruction)
3-day session on Charlotte campus $1,200 per coach (up to 2 people) (does NOT include driving instruction)
3-day regional session at external locations $1,500 per coach (up to 2 people) (does NOT include driving instruction or personal walk around)

Topics include:

An overview of chassis maintenance and upkeep
A personal walk-around and inspection of your coach with a qualified Spartan RV Chassis Technician
Personal, on-the-road drive time with a certified instructor including basic driver guidelines, hazard awareness and avoidance, as well as control and recovery and the driver’s role
Instruction on weighing your RV and adjusting tire pressures accordingly

How to access and purchase Spartan RV Chassis aftermarket parts and accessories
How to operate chassis air systems
Information on customer support and warranty information
Familiarity with chassis suspensions, chassis electrical systems
Chassis troubleshooting
Weighing of your coach and tire pressures set
